Recent Projects
Cassiar Digitization & Identification Project Thank you to the Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations Program, the Department of Canadian Heritage and the Canadian Council of Archives for their generous funding towards this project which enabled the digitization of many of the photographic records of the one-industry town of Cassiar, BC. Also, a sincere thank you to the many former Cassiar residents who responded to our photo identification requests, and to Herb Daum for his liaison work with the community through the Cassiar community website. Waging Peace for a Living: The Walt Taylor fonds Thanks to the generous support of the National Archival Development Program, the Northern BC Archives & Special Collections completed the arrangement and description of 5.11m of textual records created by Walt Taylor – social activist, staunch environmentalist and author.
